. . . began practicing massage in Saratoga, NY. He provided massage for dance faculty at Skidmore College and dancers from the New York City Ballet. Joel relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina and has become a leader in the massage community. He has supervised over seventy therapists as they entered the profession in Greensboro, and teaches workshops in the US and abroad. Joel's hands on work is a unique synthesis of influences from Europe and Asia. He is a graduate of the Carolina School of Massage, and is a winner of the AMTA North Carolina State Meritorious Award. Joel has been employed by numerous world class athletes including Olympic medalists. He provided massage at the Sydney Olympics, Goodwill Games, and numerous World Track and Field Championships. Joel has taught workshops in England, Russia, Italy, Australia, Germany, and Slovenia.
